My role is to support all Pacific learners with their academic journey. I work alongside learners to develop strategies that tailor their academic journey to their learning style. At the heart of my practice is a relationship-centred approach, using contextual examples that honour and validate the rich cultural identities of our Pacific learners.

We are excited to launch a new suite of three interactive Pacific Modules on 7 July 2026. Designed for both Pacific and non-Pacific learners, these modules are a simple starting point to help everyone learn more about Pacific identity, history, and relational worldviews. The three parts will guide you through what it means to be Pacific in Aotearoa, the unique traditions of seven different Pacific nations, and how to use Pacific frameworks to support learners navigating Western spaces. To help the ideas stick, each module wraps up with an anonymous discussion forum where you can share a quick reflection and see what your peers are saying, too.
As we draw closer to the launch in a couple of weeks, we want to acknowledge the staff and students who will be trialling these modules over the coming weeks to help us do some final fine-tuning. This project has been a huge team effort, and it wouldn’t have been possible without their upcoming feedback, alongside the awesome guidance from Emma Treadaway at Fleximode.
While these modules are packed with great insights from Pacific academics and focus groups, they aren’t meant to replace face-to-face connection. Instead, we hope they act as some building blocks to a foundation that encourages you to take what you’ve learned off the screen and into everyday talanoa with your elders, family, and community.
