Showing you how to link a video that you’ve recorded, e.g. a Teams session into your Canvas course.
The instructions below are found in this 60ish Second How To video.
Important: From the 16th August 2021, Microsoft are changing the storage for new Teams meeting recordings to be stored on, and served from, OneDrive and SharePoint (ODSP) – instead of Microsoft Stream (Classic).
UPDATE: All Team recordings from the 10th of August 2022 will no longer be issued with an expiry date.
- You have access to Office 365, which contains many Microsoft products, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Stream. Log in to your Office365 account and go to Stream.
- All videos that are created by you, e.g. your Teams videos, are stored in My content. Click on My content, then click Videos.
- Click on the video that you want to share.
- Click Share.
- Click Embed.
- Change the size of the video to 1280 x 720. This will make it a good size on your Canvas page.
- Turn off Show info.
- Click Copy.
- Click Close.
- Go to the Canvas page to which you want to add the video.
- Click Edit.
- Place your cursor where you want to add the video
- Click the Embed symbol (it looks like a Cloud). If this symbol is not visible, you may have to click on the three dots to get a full Canvas menu.
- Click in the Embed box and paste in you code (right click Paste or Ctrl+V).
- Click Submit.
- Click Save to save your Canvas page.
