Learn what a Question Bank is in Canvas
A question bank is a collection of questions that is stored for repeated use. You can import question banks for use in assessments in your courses. Instructors typically use banks to create a database of questions they can reuse in multiple assessments. Question Banks are also useful for providing quiz content for Practice Quizzes.
As an example, in a the Question Bank is a Bank item that contains 25 Quiz questions, these can be given as separate practice Quiz containing sets of 5 or 10 questions (randomised) from the group. Quizzes may be taken multiple times by a learner (e.g. twice or perhaps up to five times if there are five questions each time), each time a learner takes the quiz, they receive a different set of questions, you are in control, it’s your choice.
Question Banks are found by selecting Quizzes from the main menu to the left of the Canvas page, the selecting the drop down menu beside the + Quiz button. New Question Banks may be added to a Question bank item with the + Add Question Banks.
